Home - About Me - Gallery - Private Sessions - Classes - Studio Equipment Studio Equipment • ''Balanced Body'' Reformers, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Arc Barrels New clients may think the equipment looks like instruments of torture! Once you have tried the equipment and experienced the benefits it becomes clear they are instruments of pleasure! The Pilates Reformer offers multiple planes of resistance on a moving platform whilst the Pilates Cadillac provides a stable base for support whilst performing challenging moves. The Wunda Chair can provide a full body workout in an upright or seated position as well as standing - functional for day-to-day activities. Arc Barrels are used to help assist with trunk extension. This in turn helps develop back strength and good posture. Many clients first experience the Power Plate on holiday in hotel gyms and spas and are delighted to be able to incorporate the benefits of the Power Plate into their Pilates sessions. This is especially beneficial when combined with good instruction on how to get the best from this wonderful machine. I have designed a Pilates programme suited to use on the Power Plate. • Small Studio Apparatus Matwork classes are often planned to include; fitballs, foam rollers, chi balls, bands, bosu, weights, or magic circles. Incorporating both large or small studio equipment helps to reinforce the benefits of Pilates and provides a rewarding and enjoyable programme. Every exercise is built around the eight key principles of Pilates. Working with equipment, whether in group matwork classes or private equipment sessions achieves the following:- • Alignment correction • Injury rehabilitation • Stretching and strengthening muscle groups • Accelerates achieving goals • Enhances the Pilates exercise experience. |
